Schaefers School Halloween Party

So Schaefers school only allows the kids to dress up if it goes with the theme the teacher has chosen.
So Schaefers Teacher chose, Farms.
So Schaefer immediatly wanted to be a horse, but I thought, that would take to much time and money to do so I some how talked him into changing his mind, and I dont know how it happened but he chose to be a potato.  Yes, and it was awsome.  I think it turned out pretty well,  you can tell he is either a cow pie or potato, so I guess either way it works.

He loved the costume, he wore it all day the day before and all day when he got home, and he really wanted to where it trick or treating but he had already bought an Ironman costume so I made him wear that.

Here is the rest of his class, and Melynns head.  He was the only food item.

They made these cute little bags out of plastic plates, they cute them in half and used yarn to sew the halfs together so they looked like a spider.  Very cute idea.

Provo City Halloween Carnival

Every year Provo city puts on a Halloween Carnival, its always fun.  And since Ian works with the city he always wants to support his friends and so we always go and the kids always have so much fun. This year was probably my favorite year.

Every year they change the theme.  Last year they had a huge maze inside but this year they went all out.  Inside they had a bunch of games and things for the kids.  This picture is the candyland cake walk.  The kids had fun once they realized you got food if they picked your number, but once one of them one they all went up to get their cake.

They also had a haunted house, they told us it was scarry but we thought we would be ok so we went through, sadly...it was scary.  The girls didnt like it at all!  Schaefer did really well at the beginning.  Everytime someone jumped out he would like of laugh and say "its just a human!" and keep going but then Kadrynn started screaming and so that made Melynn nervous so they werent liking it so much so most of the actors inside tried to do funny things instead of scary but they didnt care too much.  Then out of no where some moron, keep in mind that the girls are crying..loudly, Jumps out and yells right in Schaefers face!!  That sent him over the edge, he screamed bloody murder and started crying.  Thankfully one of the girls said their was a way out right there so we left.  We then got in line for the Alice and Wonderland house.  It was really cute, they started in a room where you eat a little cake and have a little drink so you can shrink to fit in the tiny door.  then we went into the room that had a these fun bubbles that popped once they came in contact with your skin.  Then we went into the is room, the above picture, with the 2 twins that said a poem and gave the kids candy.

Then they went into a new room and had a tea party with Alice and the Mad Hatter.
They had some juice and put some little things in it.  I think it was pop with coloring and then cream and sprinkles and cherries, something like that, but the kids loved it.

Schaefer sat next to the Hatter and he kept staring at him when he tried to talk to him.
It was pretty funny.
After the Tea Party we headed over to see the Red Queen They had all the halls lined with green and these cute trees and flowers all over.
Here they played flamingo golf, like they do in the movie.  At first the kids were a little nervous but once melynn got up there Schaefer loosened up and they both had a blast, but Kadrynn didnt want too play.

At the end Schaefer was trying to talk us into going into the Haunted House again so he could try to scare the workers, I kind of wish I would have let him, that would have been funny to see if he could have finished it and if he really did try to scare the other kids.  But we left and went to bed.

  1. haha Schaefer's potato turned out great. Although, you're right it could also pass for a cow pie. :) Lets get together soon...after this week. What are you guys doing for Thanksgiving?
